Freight questions, answered

  • Measure the size — Use a tape measure to get the length, width, and height.
  • Check the weight — Most items can be weighed on a normal household scale.
  • Be as exact as possible — Estimates are fine, but wrong numbers may lead to extra charges.
  • How we charge — We compare actual (dead) weight with cubic (volume) weight and bill whichever is higher.

  • Give us your best guess — length, width, height, and weight.
  • We will measure and weigh the freight when it arrives.
  • If our numbers are higher, we must charge the difference.
  • Tip: Ask the sender for specs or use a tape measure and household scale to avoid extra fees.

Maximum piece length depends on the carrier, equipment and route available for your shipment.

Send the exact dimensions and weight so we can assess the handling plan and quote any oversize movement.

Pickup cut-offs and collection availability vary by postcode, cargo readiness, vehicle availability and booking confirmation.

Share the requested collection window when you enquire; the confirmed cut-off and service option will appear in your quote or booking confirmation.

Transit times are confirmed for each booking based on origin, destination, postcode, cargo, service level, carrier availability and regulatory requirements.

Any timing discussed before booking is indicative. The confirmed service window appears in your quote or booking confirmation and remains subject to the agreed terms.

A consignment note (“con-note”) is the shipping label that goes on your parcel before pickup. It has all delivery details and a barcode for tracking.

  • Online bookingsEmailed with your booking confirmation.
  • Phone bookings — Emailed the afternoon before collection.

Print and attach it exactly as shown. If missing or wrong, the driver may skip pickup and extra fees can apply. Need help? Call +61 2 8006 9339.
